Each ADAPTIV wheel starts from an ingot of heat treated 6061-T6 aerospace grade aluminum that is custom forged to the specifications and concavity needed for each individual set. Forged aluminum is superior in quality compared to cast aluminum in all metrics specifically in terms of uniform grain structure and reduced porosity, resulting in a wheel that is lighter yet stronger.
